About One Path Care

One person. One plan. One path.

One Path Care was founded in West Sussex on a simple conviction: that the quality of home care depends on two things most providers treat as opposites — genuine human relationships, and rigorous professional standards. We refuse to choose between them.

Why we exist

Too much home care is organised around the provider: rushed visits, rotating strangers, plans written as task lists. The person becomes a schedule entry.

We built One Path Care the other way up. Every part of our organisation — how we recruit, how we roster, how we plan, how we govern — exists to protect two things: the relationship between a client and their carers, and the person's own direction in life. That's the “one path”: theirs, not ours.

What we believe

Care is a relationship before it is a service

Trust is built through familiarity. That's why we keep teams small, match carers to clients, and introduce every carer before they attend alone.

Independence is the outcome that matters

Good care doesn't take over; it enables. Every plan is written around what the person wants to keep doing, regain, or try — and we review progress against their goals, not our checklists.

Excellence is a system, not a slogan

Behind every warm visit sits an unglamorous machine: values-based recruitment, enhanced DBS checks, training beyond mandatory standards, supervision in practice, digital records, audits, and leadership that reads every piece of feedback.

One standard, for everyone

Whether care is privately funded or commissioned by the local authority or NHS, the service is identical. We do not run tiers. Premium is simply how we do things.

Regulated, inspected, accountable

One Path Care Ltd is currently completing registration with the Care Quality Commission — our provider details will be published here the day registration is granted. We already operate to CQC's fundamental standards, the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Our safeguarding, medication, complaints and quality-assurance policies are available to any client, family member or commissioner on request — because a provider with nothing to hide shouldn't make you ask twice.
